ABOUT RAGDOLL LTD

Internationally-acclaimed Ragdoll was founded by Anne Wood in 1985.

Ragdoll is a world leader in the creation of entertainment that contributes to the well-being of children.

ABOUT THE WEBSITE

The website is based on the characters from the popular television programme Brum, created by Ragdoll Ltd. The award-winning company is also the creator of Rosie and Jim, Tots TV and Teletubbies.

Brum is an energetic, live-action comedy set in the crazy world of the Big Town. The introduction of a website will enable children to learn more about Brum's world, and to join their super-brave superhero in his on-line adventures whenever they want.

SAFETY ON THE WEB

Whilst we encourage the interactive nature of on-line media, it is important that parents are aware of how to safeguard their children's privacy when using the web. We advise them to discuss with their children restrictions regarding the on-line use of personal information.

Key notes to parents:

  • Try and surf the Internet with your child, and advise on good and safe sites to visit

  • Set time limits to prevent running up huge phone bills

  • Say when and where your child can use the Net e.g. at school, libraries or a friend's house

  • Remind your child to always tell you about anything that they don't like, are afraid of, that scares them or makes them uneasy

WHAT DOES THE SITE OFFER FOR USERS ?

Active areas are easily identified as flashing yellow spots on the small map, or as pulsating outlines on the buildings in the large map. Click on these areas to play the online adventures, visit characters or read Brum's Big Town News.

During the interactive adventures , you will be able to watch the story unfold by clicking on the flashing buttons, or watch the fun again by clicking on the active yellow buttons.
